Obituary - Albert "Rusty" Bowman

Albert R.(Rusty) Bowman 53, of Kansas City Mo. passed away Wednesday, November 7th 2012. Rusty was born August 19th, 1959 to Joann E. Bowman and the late Harold L. (Bub) Bowman in Aurora, Missouri. Rusty was united in marriage to Viola (Vi) P. Taylor on June 3rd, 1978 in Warsaw Mo. He is survived by his beloved wife Vi, 3 daughters, Beth Ann Fischer and husband Trevor, Heather Bowman and Kevin Wilkey , Pam Williams and James Scarborough. 7 grandchildren, Cole, Chelby, Bella, Mady, Loren, Erin and Wyatt. His mother, Joann Bowman, two sisters, Debbie Bowman and Kevin Blair, Terri Thomas and husband Grady. His mother-in-law, Wilma Taylor and friend Bill. Many aunts, uncles, sister and brother in law’s, nieces, nephews, and cousin’s. He also leaves behind many friends who he always treated as family. Rusty will always be remembered as a loving son, dedicated husband and father and good friend. Rusty loved watching old cowboy movies and his favorite cowboy was John Wayne. If you knew Rusty you knew they were not just movies but a way to live life. Rusty lived the cowboy way. He took pride in working with his hands and doing things right the first time. He was a man of honor, if he gave you his word you could take it to the bank. He was the first one there when hard work was to be done or someone needed a helping hand. He loved to fish and hunt. His life was his family, his daughters were his crowns and his grandchildren his jewels. He will be missed by many. Rusty was a Supervisor for Kansas City Water Services. He was a member of McMurry United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the North Kansas City Eastern Star and Masons.

Masonic services 7:00 pm Visitation 7:30- 8:30 pm Thursday November 15th McMurry United Methodist Church Claycomo, Mo. Second Service Friday November 16th, at 6:00 pm-8:00 pm First Baptist Church Warsaw, Mo.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Rusty at his favorite place, Truman Lake, on Saturday November 17th, 1PM Shenandoah Ave., Warsaw Missouri Donations may be made to the family for a future memorial to be built in Rusty’s honor or a charity of choice. Rusty wishes were to be cremated.
