Small Tornado Near Stockton on Monday Evening

National Weather Service personnel at Springfield say a small tornado touched down near Stockton Monday evening. The EF-0 twister touched down along East 1674 road, three miles South of Stockton and followed a two-mile path through the Orleans Trail Public Use area before lifting over Stockton Lake. The National Weather Service estimated the wind speed at 85 miles-per-hour and said a barn and several trees along the path were damaged but there were no injuries.
