Billie Jo Herman Garrison Diehl, 67 of Adrian, Missouri, passed away July 2, 2013 in Adrian. Billie was born September 4, 1945 to Leroy and Jean Thompson Herman in Butler, Missouri.
To Billie’s delight in 1950, Emsley Garrison became her step-dad. Billie grew up on a farm in Adrian. She accepted Christ as her savior as a child as a member of Adrian Christian Church. She attended school at Adrian R-3 all twelve years. In 1965, she married Dwight Diehl and to this union, two children were born, Bryon and Shelli.
Billie spent most of her adult years caring for challenged adults. In addition to her job, the center of Billie’s life was her family, taking great joy in her children and grandchildren and all their activities, and spoiling them.
Billie was preceded in death by her father Leroy Herman, step-dad Emsley Garrison, half-sister Shirley Rutledge, grandparents and great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She leaves behind her mother, Jean Garrison, son Bryon (Elaine) Diehl; daughter Shelli (Doug) White; grandchildren Matthew, Courtney Tayler and Madison Diehl; Erik and Brendin White; great-granddaughter Norah Gregg; and a great-grandchild on the way, two nephews Jessie and Johnny Rutledge; aunts, uncles, cousins, and an extended family of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loyal four-legged friends Macee and Jazzer; as well as a host of friends.
