A two car accident resulted in five fatalities a mile East of Archie yesterday around 5:30pm. Missouri State Highway Patrol says Jason Rittermeyer, 32 of Archie MO was Westbound on Route B at Cantrell Road when his 2000 Hyundai travelled off the right side of the roadway which caused him to lose control. The vehicle returned to the roadway and skidded sideways across the highway and struck an eastbound 2007 Dodge Ram by Jimmy Crust, 52 of Archie in the passenger door.
Aleah Lucus, 22 of Olathe KS, Anna Rittermeyer, 8; Noah Rittermeyer, 10 and Sage Rittermeyer as well as the driver Jason Rittermeyer, all of Archie were pronounced dead at the scene by the Jackson County Medical Examiner. Mr. Crust recieved minor injuries.
