Around 1:20pm this afternoon The Bates County Sheriff Department along with The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Amsterdam Fire Department and Bates County EMS all responded to a motorcyle accident North of Amsterdam on Y Highway just South of County Road 10502. The accident occured when the 2009 Suzuki driven by Marlene K. Martin 60 of Raymore Missouri was traveling South on Y Highway traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned ejecting Martin from the bike. She was wearing a helmet and received moderate injuries and was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital by ambulance. The bike was towed from the scene by Adrian Tow.
