Today will be a far cry from last July 1st. Highs this afternoon will range from the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. On this date last year, the high was 99 degrees at Springfield and Joplin and 100 degrees at West Plains and Vichy-Rolla!
Looking ahead to Independence Day, temperatures will be a few degrees warmer than today, but still quite pleasant with highs in the lower to middle 80s.
