Dustin Tyler Griffith

Dustin Tyler Griffith, age 28, of Nevada, MO passed away April 9, 2014 at his home.  He was born January 23, 1986 in Independence to Ellery Emerson Griffith, Jr. and Debra Irene Aldridge.  On May 7, 2009 he was united in marriage to Tracy Lynn (Rom) and she survives of the home. Together he and Tracy had one son.

Dustin attended school in the Kansas City area and graduated from William Crismon High School in 2004.  He then continued his education in the field of diesel mechanics and became certified through studies in Independence.  He worked as a mechanic for a time in the Independence area then moved to Paletine, IL where he worked for Freightliner.  In 2005 he relocated to Nevada and has made this area his home since that time.  While in Nevada, Dustin worked for a time at the Nevada City Hospital but for the most part has owned his own diesel mechanic business.  In his spare time he enjoyed all music, especially the guitar and drums, loved NASCAR, but most of all he loved anything with an engine.

Aside from his wife Tracy of the home, survivors include his sons, Brandon Westover of Nevada; Jonathan and Kyle Westover both of Warrensburg; and Sean Griffith of the home; his father Ellery Griffith, Jr. and wife Teresa of Independence; his mother, Debra Fry and husband Jeff of Butler; siblings, Candice McGee and husband Tony of Butler; Caleb Griffith of Butler; Drew Griffith of Liberty; Kristen Griffith of Butler; Sophie Griffith of Butler; Aaron Griffith of Washington D.C.; Tamera Griffith of Chicago,IL; and Lauren Dupont of Independence; other relatives and many friends.
