Weather Update: Extreme Fire Danger For Wednesday

The Temperatures will warm up nicely today as highs will reach the middle to upper 70s, with perhaps a few areas reaching 80 degrees. Dry southwest winds around 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph will combine with relative humidity values between 20 and 30 percent to bring extreme fire weather to most of the area. Areas in Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and western Missouri will see the worst conditions for fire weather. Outdoor burning is discouraged through the day. Thunderstorms return to the area by Saturday night.
