One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Nov. 18 in Bates County on Rt. MM west of County Road 14243.Brand A. Maciel, 49, Butler, not wearing a seat belt, eastbound in a 2004 Sterling, traveled off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected. Subsequently, the vehicle crossed the center line and overturned.
Brand A. Marciel experienced minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Bates County Hospital. His vehicle had moderate damage. He had drivers insurance through Acuity.
Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper E.E. Crabtree investigated the accident and was assisted by Trooper K.A. Schmutzler and the Bates County Sheriff’s Department.
