One person died and two people are in serious condition in a four-vehicle accident on Nov. 21 in Pettis County on Highway 52 east of Pleasant View Road.Brandon D. Kennedy, 24, East Tawas, MI, wearing a seat belt, eastbound in a 1997 Dodge Intrepid, passed a 2010 Ford F-150 operated by Jason D. Raymond, 38, Deepwater. The Kennedy vehicle then struck head-on a 2002 Cadillac westbound by Wayne A. Greenough, 79, Windsor, wearing a seat belt. Both the Kennedy and Greenough vehicles rotated in the roadway, with the Kennedy vehicle striking the Raymond vehicle. Subsequently, a 2012 Nissan Rogue westbound by Risa J. Gillaspie, 50, Sedalia, wearing a seat belt, struck the Kennedy and Greenough vehicles.
Brandon D. Kennedy was pronounced dead at 9:02 p.m., Nov. 21, by Dr. Heather Klepacz at Research Medical Center. His vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Don’s Towing of Butler Missouri. He did not have drivers insurance.
Wayne E. Greenough experienced serious injuries and was transported by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Medical Center. His vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Don’s Towing. It was unknown at the time of this accident report whether he had drivers insurance. A passenger in the Greenough vehicle was injured. Marilyn S. Greenough, 74, Windsor, wearing a seat belt, had serious injuries and was taken by Pettis County Ambulance District to Bothwell Regional Medical Center.
The Raymond vehicle had minor damage and was driven from the scene. Jason D. Raymond had drivers insurance through State Farm.
The Gillaspie vehicle had moderate damage and was towed from the scene by AAA. Risa J. Gillaspie had drivers insurance through Nationwide Affinity.
Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper S.J. Force investigated the accident and was assisted by Sergeant M.D. DeGraffenreid, Trooper A.S. Craig, Trooper M.S. Richardson and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department.
