Around this time tomorrow temperatures will begin plunging out of the upper 40s and into the 30s and 20s. And with this rapid drop in temperature will come some of the first wintry precipitation we've seen this season.
Rain will mix with snow and sleet, and maybe some light freezing rain, over northwest MO tomorrow evening and across much of the region after midnight Thursday night. Any snow accumulation (an inch or less) should be confined to areas north of St. Joseph and Kirksville. Areas further south could see a light coating of snow and sleet. Any icing will be very light.
