Chief Henry gives press release on early morning fire

From Butler Fire Chief Jim Henry:

At approximately 12:07am Wednesday morning, the Butler Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at 210 West Dakota Street in Butler. Upon arrival, a large amount of fire was found in the northeast section of a 2 ½ story, wood frame residential structure. All of the occupants were out of the structure, with some sustaining injuries. The Butler Fire Department initiated an attack on the fire and medical units responded to treat the injured parties. The fire was declared under control at 1:21am with the structure sustaining heavy fire damage to the area of origin and spreading to the attic area. The fire is under investigation by the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office. Adrian’s Fire Department responded under automatic mutual aid, with a pumper from the Rich Hill Fire Department also requested. The exact number of occupants in the structure at the time of the fire and the extent of any injuries is unknown until such time as family members can be contacted. -Photos courtesy FM 92 the Bullet
