Gearing up for the 21st Papinville Picnic

The annual Papinville Picnic is set for September 22nd  

September is the month for the Annual Papinville Picnic. This year they will try once again to have the Harmony Mission Tour. Don Pippin will have his wagons for transportation to and from the Mission site. Weather permitting, the tours will be between 1 and 3 pm. Tickets will be $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for school age children, pre-school children will be admitted free. You may call and make your reservation now.

Other activities will include a cake walk, silent auction, pie auction bingo for local merchant coupons and live music. Games and animal balloons and pace painting.

The Annual Papinville Picnic will feature a display by Jack York of Artifacts from the Harmony Mission Site and Chief Jack white Horn will be at the museum to answer question that people may have about the Osage Indians. There will be a mobile theatre (diorama) of Harmony Mission that the organization first displayed in May of this year.

If you would like to help with any of the planned activities you may do so in one of the following ways. You may bring a dessert for the meal table or the cake walk. Donate a handmade item, donate a basket or new item for the silent auction.

There will be a picture taken of students in the district 7, to include Papinville, Seelinger, Mission Branch and Prairie City. If students of these schools could be present at 4 p.m. the picture will be taken in front of the school.

The Papinville Picnic buffet meal will be served at 5 p.m. and free will offering will be taken.
Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy music, fun, visiting, food and learn the area history.
Thank you in advance for observing the rules of no pets or alcohol on the grounds.
