Warsaw Man Guilty on Drug Charges



Robert Doelz, 46, Warsaw, Mo., was found guilty Tuesday in Leavenworth County District Court of possessing with the intent to distribute more than 28 grams of methamphetamine, according to a prosecution official.

Police officers stopped Doelz June 1 in Leavenworth. He was driving a Chevrolet Blazer matching a description of a vehicle that was reported to have been involved in a bank robbery a day earlier, according to Assistant County Attorney Adam Zentner.

Officers found methamphetamine in the Blazer along with items commonly used to weigh, package and sell illegal drugs, according to Zentner.

Doelz faces a sentence ranging from 99 to 110 months in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for April 11.
