Kenneth Emmett Hunt, passed away July 23, 2016, just two months shy, to the day, of his 90th birthday. He was born September 23, 1926, in Adrian, MO, the oldest child of Emmett LeRoy Hunt and Bessie Bell (Bishop) Hunt. Kenneth shared his childhood with his one sibling, sister, Doris Marie (Hunt) Tucker. After graduating Drexel High School, in 1944, Kenneth enlisted into the United States Army Infantry and bravely served his country in the South Pacific, Japan, during World War II.
The majority of Kenneth’s working career was with Westinghouse, Colgate-Palmolive and over 30 years at the same building and location through several corporate mergers; Bendix/Allied-Signal/ Honeywell where he retired in 1994. During his retirement years Kenneth enjoyed bowling, square dancing and attending his grandson’s sporting events.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Bessie; sister, Doris Marie Tucker; and daughter-in-law, Ginny Hunt.
He is survived by two sons, Kenny Hunt (Trish), and Ron Hunt (Shelia); two grandsons, Curtis Hunt (Kara), Kyle Hunt (Annie), three great-grandchildren, Dakota Marshall, Brynn Marshall, and Brady Hunt.
