The officer continued his routine patrol and went to the 300 block of north Center St. During his patrol efforts in this area the officer passed a vehicle and observed the wanted fugitive inside of it. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver failed to yield to the officer. The driver of the vehicle started to drive through yards, damaging fences and other property in the area. The subjects abandoned the vehicle and took off on foot in an unknown direction.
On July 26, 2016 Nevada Police were contacted by two fugitive recovery agents who had information on the whereabouts of the fugitive. Nevada Police responded to the 1000 block of east Wooter St. where the task force agents believed the subject was hiding.
The suspect attempted to flee out of a window upon law enforcement arrival, but was unsuccessful. The subject then hid in the attic of the house. Task force agents were able to apprehend the suspect. Nevada Police took custody of him and transported him to the Vernon County Jail for holding.
The suspect has been identified as 36 year old Nevada resident, Shawn M Foulk. He is being held in the Vernon County Jail on multiple warrants with no bond. Multiple other new charges are being submitted to the Vernon County Prosecutor’s Office in connection to the previous day’s event.
