No need for speed...crackdown begins today

It's a documented fact, the faster you are going, the harder the crash.
Last year in Missouri alone there were 310 speed related fatalities, and that's entirely too many, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol. So, starting today the Show Me state is joining 5 other nearby states, including Kansas, in an anti-speeding campaign.
Some 220 law enforcement agencies will be patrolling some 5,700 miles of highways this weekend- you can expect to get a ticket if you're caught speeding.
Officers will also be watching for distracted, DUI and aggressive driving, too.
