A fire near Clinton over the weekend is under investigation. According to Henry County Sheriff Keith Oberkrom, his department is working with the State Fire Marshall to determine a specific cause.
The blaze at the Clinton Mini Storage was discovered by a passing motorist at about 4:25 Saturday morning. One building containing several storage units has been declared a complete loss.

According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation into an early Saturday morning fire at the Clinton Mini Storage on Highway 7 just west of Clinton is continuing. the fire was discovered by a passing motorist about 4:25 am Saturday, September 21, 2013. The Clinton Fire Department as well as the Urich and Creighton Fire Departments were on scene of the fire for several hours. the Missouri State Fire Marshalls Office was called to investigate the scene to determine the origin of the fire.
“At this time we do not have a specific cause on the fire and we continue to work with the Fire Marshal in the investigation of this event”, Sheriff Oberkrom said.
One total building containing several storage units was a complete loss.
