Elks collecting greeting cards for St. Jude's fundraiser

St. Jude's Children's Hospital needs your help with a fundraising event for abused and neglected children. The Bates County Elks Lodge in Butler is stepping up to the plate to help, but they need your donations.

What is needed is your old greetings cards- thank you cards, outdated Christmas cards, etc. They do not have to have the envelope. The donated cards will have the backs removed and sold as a fundraising event by the St. Jude's hospital employees in order to send children to a yearly ranch camp for their enjoyment.

If you'd like to donate, contact any Bates County Elks member or call 660-424-3012. You may also put them in the drop box at the front door of the lodge on Elks Drive.

This year's goal is over 4,000 cards to be collected by the Elks in Butler.
