An accident about 6 miles north of Pleasanton Wednesday morning has claimed the life of Shirley A. Harper, 33 of Butler and sent three others to a Kanas City area hospital, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Around 8:15 a.m. the northbound 1998 Ford driven by Harper had a blowout causing her to lose control and overturn in a ditch on the west side of the roadway.
Passengers in the vehicle Cherokee Jestis, 14, Halie M. Harper, 15, and Shaunee N. Jestis, 13, all of Butler were transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
