Sandra (Horn) Pierce, 72 of Kansas City, Mo., passed away August 22, 2011 at Timberlake Care Center in Kansas City.
Sandra was born January 2, 1939 in Kansas City, daughter of Sarah (Milstead) and Harold Louis Horn.
She was an avid and longtime Kansas City Royals fan. She particularly enjoyed crocheting and jigsaw puzzles, and will be remembered for her love of old Western movies.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her children: Shirley (Ben) Lyle of Sidney, MT.; Mary (John) Mayes of Raymore, MO.; Debbie (Gene) Gamble of Lee’s Summit, MO.; and Nancy (Glen) Ellis of Fremont, Neb. She also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, as well as 6 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 10 AM Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Sharon Cemetery near Drexel, Mo. There is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Odyssey Hospice, and may be left in care of the Mullinax Funeral Home: PO Box 500, Drexel, Mo., 64742.
