Construction of the new 71 highway/AA/EE interchange is expected to be open by Labor Day, according to MODOT officials. Decking on the bridge is mostly complete and paving of ramps is expected to begin this Tuesday.
Part of the project includes construction of a new outer road that will run from business 71 in north Adrian to the interchange, which also will be open by the first of September.
