New program to thwart crime in rural areas...

TRACE PROGRAM

The online neighborhood watch program for rural populations and construction equipment in Kansas and Missouri is supported by : MoKan Theft task force. Detective Brett Wilson of the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your membership to this valuable program offered to the public.

The Johnson County Kansas Sheriff’s office contacted FM-92 asking for our support and promotion of this new and coming service.

T.R.A.C.E ( Theft Reports of Agricultural and Construction Equipment ) offers this program to efficiently get information regarding stolen farm equipment, livestock theft, livestock recovery, construction equipment and suspicious activities distributed to citizens living or working in counties in and around the Kansas City Metro area in Kansas and Missouri.

The T.R.A.C.E Program will quickly inform all participants of suspicious activities and crime in your neighborhood, farming community and construction sites.

Once an individual or business has been put on the distribution list , members will have access to receive emails from T.R.A.C.E . Anyone can send information to the T.R.A.C.E website but will not receive email notifications until you are registered with the program.

T.R.A.C.E DOES NOT TAKE THE PLACE OF 911. Emergency calls need to be placed to 911 .The T.R.A.C.E service is available to assist those that have a piece of equipment stolen, livestock or construction equipment. When you are registered and become a member you may send a detailed email to T.R.A.C.E describing what was taken or to report a suspicious character, vehicle information, direction of travel and what the suspects were doing that caught your attention.

For more information regarding the T.R.A.C.E. ( Theft Reports of Agricultural and construction Equipment ) join them on line at www.TRACE@jocogov.org or call 913-715-5561.
