The combination of seasonally warm temperatures... southwest winds between
15 and 25 mph... and relative humidity values around 30 percent will
enhance the risk for uncontrolled fires across parts of east central
Kansas and western and southwestern Missouri this afternoon. Persons
should avoid burning and use extra caution when dealing with
flammable materials and outdoor grilling activities. The fire danger
threat will diminish Sunday evening as the winds diminish and
relative humidity significantly increases.
