Minor injuries in two local accidents

Last night around 7 p.m. Misty M. Ford-Hooker, 28, and an infant, Madilyn J. Hall, escaped serious injury in an accident on route Z about 1 mile south of 18 highway. According to the report a 1995 Plymouth driven by Ford-Hooker was northbound on Z when it traveled off the right side of the roadway, continued some 400 feet and struck a culvert. Both were taken to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Around 5:30 this morning a Rockville man, Ricky Miller, 45, was westbound on route B east of Rich Hill when his 2002 Ford Ranger left the roadway while attempting to pass another vehicle. The Miller vehicle struck a culvert and came to a rest in the ditch. Miller was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
