Teenager hurt in Bates County car crash

  Rachel Eason 16, of Freeman Missouri received moderate injuries Saturday evening when the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse she was driving got in a wreck south on Missouri 18, Just south of County Road 14002. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment continued to slide and then stuck a tree. The vehicle came to rest in the ditch on the west side of the roadway. Eason was transported by ambulance to Bates County Memorial Hospital. The accident was worked by The Bates County Sheriffs Department as well as Amsterdam Volunteer Fire Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. She was wearing a seat belt. The car was totaled and was towed from the scene by Adrian Tire and Lube.
