Dmitriy S. Banakh, 25, Sedalia, Missouri was traveling northbound in a 2007 Audi. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and a tree, prior to becoming fully engulfed.
Dmitriy S. Banakh and three passengers in the vehicle died in this accident and was pronounced dead by Pettis County Coroner Ben Banner at 6:29 a.m. The body was transported to the Boone County Medical Examiner Office. The Banakh vehicle was totaled and removed from the scene by Don’s Towing.
The three passengers included: Angelika A. Franchuk, 19, Sedalia, Missouri and Anna Morgunenko, 16, Sedalia,Missouri and Daniel Morgunenko, 20, Sedalia,Missouri all died in this accident.
Missouri Highway Patrol Trooper S.R. Schapp investigated the accident and was assisted by Corporal J.D. Owens, Sergeant J.M. Toal, MCIU Team 1 of the MSHP and the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department.
