St. Clair County Felony arrest warrant issued for Thompson

James P. Thompson
On Friday, March 7, a St. Clair County arrest warrant was issued for James P. Thompson, 43, Lowry City, charging him with three felony counts. Thompson is charged with armed criminal action, an unclassified felony; endangering the welfare of a child, a class C felony; and unlawful use of a weapon, a class D felony.

The charges stem from an incident at Casey's General Store on Feb. 23 when St. Clair County deputies and the Osceola Police Department (OPD) were dispatched to a call regarding a man with a gun inside the store. The OPD’s investigation revealed Thompson was carrying a handgun and pointed it at an individual inside the store. There was a child nearby.
Those with any information concerning Thompson's location are urged to contact the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line, 417-646-5832, or email to tips@scsomo.org.
