On Dec. 24, Rory Thomas, 44, Osceola, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant charging him with two class A misdemeanors, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

The charges stem from a St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office investigation on Aug. 26, when a deputy located a vehicle parked off the roadway on land belonging to the Missouri Department of Conservation on SW E Highway. Thomas was identified as the driver of the vehicle and was located in a corn field a short distance away. During the investigation a glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue was located inside his vehicle. A misdemeanor amount of marijuana and three pipes with marijuana residue were also located in the glove compartment of the vehicle. Thomas was booked and later released pending the formal charges. The warrant was issued Dec. 14.
