CLINTON, Mo – State Representative Scott Largent, R-Clinton, candidate for the new 31st Missouri State Senate District, has received the endorsement of both state senators and all six of the state representatives whose districts make up the newly-drawn 31st district.

“Scott Largent is exactly the kind of leader we need fighting for us in the State Senate,” State Representative Chris Molendorp said. “I am proud to support Scott’s candidacy because of his commitment to the commonsense values we share.”

“I am honored by the overwhelming support I have received from area legislators since announcing my candidacy just two weeks ago,” Largent said. “We have already built a strong team of supporters that will help spread our commonsense message throughout the new six-county district.”

The legislators endorsing Largent are State Senator Mike Parson, R-Bolivar, State Senator David Pearce, R-Warrensburg, State Representative Wanda Brown, R-Cole Camp, State Representative Barney Fisher, R-Nevada, State Representative Sandy Crawford, R-Buffalo, State Representative Mike McGhee, R-Odessa, State Representative Rick Brattin, R-Harrisonville and State Representative Chris Molendorp, R-Belton. These legislators represent each of the six counties within the new district which includes Bates, Benton, Cass, Henry, Hickory, and St. Clair counties.

“Missouri needs leaders like Scott with real-world business experience to help get our economy back on track and our people back to work,” Senator Mike Parson said.

“Scott is the kind of pro-agriculture and pro-family leader that we need fighting for our Benton County values in Jefferson City,” added Representative Wanda Brown.

Largent, a local small business owner, lives in Clinton with his wife Leslie and their children, Seth, Taylor and Jesse. Leslie is a teacher in the Clinton school district.
