Postage Stamp Rate Increase January 22nd

Post Offices across the United States announce the 2012 rate increase for Postage Stamps . Stamps will increase from 44 cents to 45 cents on January 22nd 2012. "Forever Stamps", are for sale now at all Post Offices for 44 cents and will be honored, without the extra increase and may be used until your supply of purchased Forever Stamps are gone. Forever Stamps are for sale while the supply lasts at your local Post Office. You may purchase as many of the "Forever Stamps" as you need, but when your supply is gone and the Post Office supply is gone…. … You will be charged the new 2012 rate of 45 cents per stamp. 

The Postal Service last increase in postage rates was in May of 2009. The rate increase will go into effect on Sunday January 22nd.
