Breakaway Band rockin' for 30 years...

The Breakaway Band was formed in 1982 and has been rockin Bates County and the surrounding area for 30 years.  Breakaway rocked in their 30th year at The Archie House on New Years Eve.  Breakaway would like to THANK everyone who has attended our events over the years.  Pictured from left to right:  Kirk Bjerke (Original Member--Sound Technician); Brian Borum--Vocals; Daniel Cook--Bass Guitar; Marcia Cook (Original Member--keyboards/vocals); Fred Hunt (Original Member--Rhythm Guitar/Vocals); Oscar Schmehl--Drums; Roger Tippe (Original Member--Lead Guitar/vocals).

Editor's note- Growing up in Bates County during the early 80's meant going to every dance at the youth building when Breakaway was playing. Myself, like many others, have a lot of good memories of going to the Breakaway dances and it's great to see the band still together, sounding better than ever. Congrats on 30 years!
