B.H.S. Conference Track Meet Results-Girls‏

Last night our Butler Bears traveled up to William Christman High School in Independence to participate in our XRC Conference Track Meet hosted by St. Mary’s.

The weather was beautiful and it was a great turnout by all that participated! Everyone’s hard work and perseverance was greatly appreciated! Congratulations to all conference champions and those setting personal bests yesterday!

The Lady Bears Track Team worked very hard and came away with a 2^nd place finish by earning 161 points.

The following are the top 8 place finishers who contributed to the 2^nd place finish by earning points for their team!

100 M Dash: Kayla Morris- 2^nd place; Courtney Blevins- 7^th place

200 M Dash: Kayla Morris- 2^nd place; Makenna Hannah- 5^th place

100 M Hurdles: Kiersten Morris- 1^st place & conference champion with a time of 17.4 ; Ashleigh Floyd- 4^th place

300 M Hurdles: Kiersten Morris- 1^st place & conference champion with a time of 50.48; Ashleigh Floyd- 57.42

400 M Dash: Kayla Morris- 3^rd place; Amy Miller 5^th place

800 M Run: Katie Henry- 7^th place

1600 M Run: Katie Henry- 6^th place

3200 M Run: Tabitha Foote- 7^th place; Jenay Rosier- 8^th place

Long Jump: Kayla Morris- 2^nd place; Chelsea Spencer- 6^th place

Triple Jump: Amy Miller- 1^st place & conference champion with a jump of 30’9”; Kiersten Morris- 2^ndplace

Shot Put: Gabby Blevins- 3^rd place; Marissa McElwain- 5^th place

Discus: Gabby Blevins- 2^nd place; Sarah Smalley- 6^th place

High Jump: Amy Miller- 4^th place; Aarika Gardner- 5^th place

4x100 M Relay: 2^nd place- Makenna Hannah, Abby Loveall, Chelsea Spencer, Tenaya Williams

4x200 M Relay: 1^st place & conference champions with a time of 1:53.98- Makenna Hannah, Abby Loveall, Amy Miller, Tenaya Williams

4x400 M Relay: 2^nd place- Makenna Hannah, Chelsea Spencer, Abby Loveall, Tenaya Williams

4x800 M Relay: 3^rd place- Jenay Rosier, Tabitha Foote, Hali Heckadon, Katie Henry

The Butler Bears will travel to Holden this Saturday, May 4^th to participate in the district track meet. The top 4 place finishers in each event will be moving on to the sectional track meet the following Saturday.
