Many of us will see snow in some form today, but not all of us will see it stick. Snow may be mixed with rain or even sleet at times. However areas with the best chance to see accumulations will be found in northeastern Kansas, northwestern Missouri, southeastern Nebraska and southern Iowa where a narrow band of 0.5" to 2" of snow may develop this morning. Once again, it's VERY hard to get accumulating snow this time of the year and any accumulations today should remain on the grass/trees/cars with the roads staying wet.
Light precipitation may continue into the afternoon hours as temperatures slowly try to reach the upper 30s. Watch out tonight though, as we could have record breaking cold and a potential freeze.
Is there good news in this post? YES! Temperatures will begin to climb back to the 70s by this weekend and those readings may stick around for awhile. More good news? The snow that falls today, will be gone by tomorrow!
