On May 5, 1975, he was united in marriage to Marla Kay Hinshaw at the Davis Ranch. They were blessed with four children.

Preceding his death, were his parents, Charles J. Davis and Mildred (Dorward) Davis Bitner. In addition to his wife, Marla Kay, left to honor and remember Ronnie are his four children: Jodie McNeley, husband John, and four children, Morgan, Myles, Logan and Lane; Jayson Davis, wife Shawnda and two children, Jared and Wyatt; Brandon Davis, wife Erin and two children, Brodie and Grant; and Jayme Belisle, husband Regin and three children, Brynn, Josie, and Sadie; and a sister, Mrs. Connie Oehring.
