On Monday, Oct. 24 at approximately 5:40 A.M., the Butler fire Dept. was dispatched to 801 W. Pine St., Butler, for a report of a structure fire.
On arrival, a large amount of fire was encountered in a 1 1/2 story, wood frame residential structure.
Due to the fact that all occupants could not immediately be accounted for, a primary and secondary interior search of the structure was conducted as soon possible, with negative results. All occupants were accounted for by approximately 7:30 A.M..
The fire required extensive overhaul of pockets of fire, as it had extended into the walls and attic area. The fire was declared under control at approximately 6:57 A. M., with the last unit leaving the scene at approximately 8:57 A.M..
The structure sustained heavy fire damage throughout the living area and attic.
Cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
There were no injuries.
