More details released in police chase that ended near Adrian

On December 17th, Deputies were asked to assist Butler PD regarding a vehicle that was failing to yield. The Deputy joined the pursuit at the intersection of County Road 41 and County Road 11002. The pursuit proceeded north on Old 71 Hwy where the vehicle failed to stop at the stop sign at Old 71 and Main. The vehicle continued north where it crossed the center line several times. At the S curves on AA highway the vehicle passed another car in the opposing lane of traffic and crossed the double yellow line. At the intersection of NW County Road 15502 and County Road 701 the suspect failed to maintain the road and slid sideways into a tree. He then continued north and failed to negotiate a sharp turn. He then drove off into a field just south of County Road 16502. The vehicle became stuck in the field. The suspect exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A Bates County K9 unit was called to the scene to assist in searching for the suspect. He was later found and arrested near a fence line north west of where he left his vehicle.
