On December 20th, 2013 The Butler Police Department participated in a Active School Shooter Training exercise at the Butler Elementary School. The training exercise consisted of 1 or 2 officers being a " Bad Guy " and hiding somewhere in the building. While a team of 2 or 4 officers had to sweep the building and find the bad guy. The training exercises are very important in hopes that if we ever had a situation like this the Police Department would be ready and know how to react.
