On Friday, Dec. 20, at 9:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to Concord Cemetery near Lowry City regarding property damage. Gary Noakes, a cemetery board member, reported 52 headstones were damaged sometime between Dec. 19 at 1 p.m. and Dec. 20 at 8 a.m. Damage was estimated at $10,000. The deputy observed 52 headstones knocked over or an attempt was made to knock them over. The investigation revealed the headstones were in place with no damage on Dec. 20 at 7 a.m. Evidence was located and seized from the scene and the case is still being investigated.
