Early morning rollover accident South of Butler

Two California residents traveling through Bates County received moderate injuries in a rollover accident around 1:30 this morning on 71 Highway near the Miami Creek bridge. A Northbound 1996 Toyota driven by Emilio P. Naranjo, 19, of Riverside California traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned. A passenger, Rafael Villa, 24, of Perris California was taken to Bates County Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. Both were reported to be wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
