Mass of Christian Burial for Ben Giacone will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2010 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Butler, Missouri with Father John Bolderson officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday evening at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Cancer Society or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Benedict “Ben” Vincent Giacone, age 86 of Butler, Missouri died Friday, February 11, 2011 at Briston Manor in Butler. He was born December 11, 1924 to Charles Vincent and Margaret Anch Giacone in Kansas City, Missouri.
Ben is survived by three sons, John Giacone and wife Joyce of Belton, Missouri, Vincent Giacone and wife Regina and Robert “Bob” Giacone all of Butler, Missouri; one daughter, Frances “Francie” Ann Scott and husband Larry of Butler, Missouri; two sisters, Carrie DeMarco and Nadine Jackson both of Kansas City, Missouri; and six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one step grandson and five step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Florence in 2003; one grandson, Chad Scott; one brother, George Giacone; and one sister, Angie Nastasio.
