Potato Day Oct. 14th...

Mark Friday, October 14 on your calendar for the biannual BCYAC Potato Fund Raiser. If you live or work in the Butler city limits, BCYAC will deliver a baked potato with either chili or ham, a homemade cookie and soda or water for the bargain price of $5.00. To order your potato, call 679-4167 before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13. Deliveries are made between 11:00 a.m. and 1: 00 p.m.

Funds raised go to support the Butler Youth Center which is operated by the Bates County Youth Advocacy, Inc.(BCYAC). The Center, in the old Butler High School building, is open two nights a week during the school year and provides free meals, crafts activities, recreation and tutoring services for 80 grade school children nightly. According to Kris Jenkins, BCYAC president, “ We have greatly expanded our program this year adding more supervisory staff as well as tutoring in cooperation with the A+ program with the Butler schools.”

Don’t forget to place your order. Deliveries are limited to 150.
