The 2011 Youth Bluegrass Festival is happening this Saturday, Sept. 24th at the Bailey House Bed and Breakfast in Appleton City (300 W. 3rd St.). The performing bands start playing at 1:30 p.m. and include the Prairie Strings Band, the Peterson Family and Meyer Bluegrass.
Get there early- the 1st Annual Dick Logan Memorial Youth Fiddlers Competition starts at 10 a.m. with the A.C. Dance Academy performance at 12 noon.

Don't forget the Scarecrow Festival is also being held this Saturday starting at 9 a.m. in Forrest Park. Bring your lawn chairs, food and drink available.
