In Butler City Council news, it was a brief meeting, but as we’ve noted at other times, the Mayor and Council works at times other than their twice a month regular meetings.

City Clerk Casey Koehn has gone over the fiscal year’s budget with the various departments for April 2014 through 2015. Of course this is a rough study, as many things can come up in the near future that would change the budget picture. However, this is a guide that lets the
Mayor and Council see how the overall picture looks.
Every three years the City takes bids from banks concerning where it will keep its funds for the upcoming period. It will continue with Community First bank for the next three-year period.
That’s the Council picture at the moment as the City winds down for the year. Next scheduled meeting will be the first Tuesday in January, 2014
