Remington Jade “Remi” Craft |
Cremation will follow the services. Memorial contributions are suggested toward “Remington’s Heart,” to be used for babies born with congenital heart defects. Messages and memories for the family may be left at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.
Also, a special vigil in Remi’s honor will take place Saturday evening, 8:00 PM at the Butler Fairgrounds. The public is welcome and invited to attend.
Remi lived most of her life at Children's Mercy Hospital, because she was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Being born with half of a heart, you would never know anything was wrong with her by looking at her. Beautiful and perfect. She astonished all of the medical staff with how well she did after her first surgery and how fast she was able to go home.
Remi had 6 wonderful days at home with her parents, big brother, and big sisters. During her seven short weeks here on Earth, she touched many lives and was loved deeply by so many. She brought communities and our family together. She fought hard until she went to be with Jesus, such a brave little girl. It gives us comfort to know that her heart is now whole.
Remi was welcomed in heaven by her maternal great-grandma, Karen Whitten; and paternal great-grandparents Helen and Lloyd McElwain. She is mourned on earth by her parents Kaleigh and Brandon Craft; her siblings Kaiden, Addisyn and Gracelyn; maternal grandparents Galen Whitten and Patricia Payne; paternal grandparents Steve and Michelle Craft; as well as several other family members.
