Cremation memorial services for Shirley Pennington will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri. There is no visitation. Inurnment at a later date in Independence Cemetery, Hume, Missouri. Contributions to Independence Cemetery.

Shirley Lu Pennington, age 66 of Archie, Missouri formerly of Hume, Missouri died Friday, July 23, 2010 at her home in Archie. She was born August 2, 1943 to Richard Andrew and Margie Lee Bezemer in Hume.


Shirley is survived by a son, Kevin Ray Pennington of Kansas City, Missouri; a daughter, Kelly Janine Coffel and husband Donnie of Archie, Missouri; one sister, Beverly Roberta Grimsley and husband Stan of Adrian, Missouri; four grandchildren, Ashley Kelso and husband Kyle, Bracole Coffel and significant other C.J. Mead, Douglas Coffel and Jessica Coffel; three great-grandchildren, Kinna, Kolton and Kyler; and nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard Bezemer Jr.
