Obituary - Emmette Cantrell

Funeral services for Emmette Cantrell will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel (660-679-6555) in Butler, Missouri with Pastor Mark Phillips officiating. Visitation will be prior to services from 10-11 a.m. at Schowengerdt Chapel. Burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, Missouri. Contributions to Children's Mercy Hospital or American Heart Association.

Emmette Dade Cantrell, age 85 of Butler, Missouri died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Bates County Memorial Hospital in Butler. He was born October 27, 1925 to Silas Abner and Hattie Fedelia Hestand Cantrell in Austin, Missouri.


Emmette is survived by his wife, Dorsella Cantrell of Butler, Missouri; one son, Gary Cantrell and wife Denise of Archie, Missouri; one daughter, Sheryl Steele and husband Allen of Adrian, Missouri; one sister, Margie Rohr of Sedalia, Missouri; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Emmette Greg Cantrell; his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
