Archaeology Symposium registration deadline Sept. 9th...

Friday, September 9th. That’s the deadline for registering for the Missouri Archaeology Society’s (MAS) annual meeting that will be held Saturday, September 17th at the Bates County Museum in Robertson Hall. This is a free meeting but registration is required. Attendees are also able to sign-up for a box lunch ($10), an evening fried chicken dinner, hayride & marshmallow roast at Poplar Heights Farm ($18), and for a Sunday morning tour of the Battle of Island Mound State Historic Site. This is a remarkable opportunity for people in the area to learn about archaeological findings from some of the most well respected professionals in the state.
