On 2/25/17 around 3:15pm the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Cass County responded to a one vehicle rollover accident in the Southbound lanes of I-49 at Mile Marker 161.6 in rural Cass County.The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when the 2006 Dodge Caravan driven by 43 year old Christopher R. Stephens of Harrisonville, Missouri traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a sign post before traveling through the grass causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire.
Mr. Stephens sustained serious injuries in this accident and he was transported by Life Flight Eagle to Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri for treatment.
The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene by Miller Tow.
