Search Warrant Served In Eldorado Springs

On February 22, 2017, officers of the EI Dorado Springs Police Department assisted by Cedar County Deputies and St. Clair County Sheriffs K-9 unit served a search warrant for illegal drugs at 108 East Joe Davis, after receiving information of illegal drug activity. Evidence of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia were located.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of John D. Donahue, 32, of EI Dorado Springs, for an active EI Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant for Failure to appear, on the original charges of Resisting Arrest, Assault on Officer and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond of $902.50.

Officers also arrested him for the probable cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Keeping and Maintaining a Public Nuisance and Possession of Drug paraphernalia. Officers completed a probable cause statement for these charges. 


Officers received a Cedar County Warrant charging Donahue charging him with Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a bond $5000.00. Donahue was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and court appearance.
